Forest inventory with airborne LiDAR sensor in the of Valsaín pine forest (Segovia)

The main product of this work is the LiDAR data which has been used to define the shape and size of the plant cover in the area of Valsaín pine forest. A digital terrain model was generated and aerial photographs were taken with digital resolution of 0.15 m intended to obtain RGB color and near infrarred orthophotos with resolution of 0.20 m. The project covered an area of 1,300 Has.

The project consisted in the implementation of both a Digital Terrain Models (DTM) and a Digital Surface Model (DSM) using LiDAR data combining information from bathymetric profiles for hydraulic studies in the area of the Alto Duero. It was also proposed conducting orthoimagery from digital photogrammetric flight.

The purpose of this project was to generate the DTM and theDSM of 1m resolution by means of LiDAR technology and orthophotography for the coastal region of Almeria Province, covering the parts of the rivers flowing into the coast.
