STEREOCARTO has been always characterize by the use of the more advanced technical means and the development of its own tools for geospatial data management. This allows to consider the whole data processing, from restitution to the data integration into GIS software. The procedure is subject to strict quality control analysis.
STEREOCARTO currently has a number of cartographic production headquarter in Spain and other countries in Europe and America, as well as highly qualified personnel in the field of engineering and Geoinformatics.
Amongst its wide range of products, STEREOCARTO offers aerial photography high resolution digital elevation models generation by means of LiDAR technology, thermal, infrared and satellite images, orthophotos, restitution, etc.
Environmental modeling has a strong relationship with spatial information and its characteristics can be determined by remote sensors. The main applications are: forestry, hydrology and bank vegetation, studies of landslides and erosion and geomorphology.
Thanks to its long experience in photogrammetry, Stereocarto, which usually works with 3 aircrafts, some analogical cameras, two digital cameras and two LiDAR sensors as well as production headquarters in Madrid, Romania and Brazil, has beginning a close collaboration with Infocarto intended to introduce the “remote sensing” as an own business area. Products and applications of this new sector are only accessible from an orbital perspective of multi-temporal and multi-spectral observations.
Digital format is spreading through all kind of photogrammetric and cartographic jobs as input data, processing, final products and distribution. At the same time, spatial resolution of the commercial orbital sensors is competing with airborne cameras one. Moreover, spatial resolution supply some advantages in total surface observed and repetition. So, there exists a technological convergence between both observational techniques that are demanding for their integration as a way of improving the commercial offer and new opportunities. Some other emerging technologies, such as GIS, GPS or internet services, are also demanding their integration with cartographic imagery. Thus, Stereocarto has assumed the integration of this new technology not only as a challenge, but also as a way to maintain our leader position in this sector.
STEREOCARTO has a long experience in geodetic projects and topography, both national and international. Our staff consists of surveyors and engineers in geodesy and cartography with a solid background and the most advanced technical means.
The application of the latest techniques for obtaining geospatial data, based on laser sensors like LiDAR, applied to areas of Urban Planning and Conservation of Heritage gives us the opportunity to tackle new action areas, extending and upgrading projects that just a few years ago were dismissed because of their complexity and high cost.
Today, it is possible to merge the traditional terrestrial photogrammetry with clouds of points generated by terrestrial LiDAR, which is combined with data collected from sensors and airborne LiDAR images captured by digital cameras.
