Inypsa (Informes & Proyectos SA) has decided to buy the 80% of the Stereocarto SL group, which will acquire Cartogesa (Cartografía General) SA. The decision was make after the 'due diligence' process in June.       

With this acquisition, Grupo Inypsa reaches a leader position in a sector which is experimenting a significant growth due to the high demand of geographic data

Grupo Inypsa hopes to have a joint turnover of 73,9 M €, which is a 64% more than the last year. Inypsa will also increase a 50% its EBITDA up to 7M €. Besides, Stereocarto expects a turnover greater than 18M € obtaining a EBITDA of 2,7M €.

This transaction means an decisive step in the Inypsa's strategy of a corporate growth based on the acquisition of leader companies that will complete its line of business. The incorporation of Stereocarto, and thus Cartogesa, means that Inypsa will start its activities within an expanding sector. Stereocarto and Cartogesa are solidly established at both national and international levels permitting Inypsa to strengthen its leader position in Spain and to increment its business with other countries.

Inypsa wants to widen its services through Stereocarto and Cartogesa, that have an excellent management politic and technical means. The high demand of geographic data and their applications is causing an increment of developing in the geoinformatic, geographic localization and georeferentation systems. It is also affecting different private investments such as Google Maps, Microsft Live, Tele Atlas, Navtech, etc., and those from Spanish Public Administrations like the Orthopthoto National Plan, Land Registry renewal, Infrastructures National Plan, etc..

About STEREOCARTO and CARTOGESA

Stereocarto and Cartogesa, both leader companies in the sector of cartography services in engineering and informatics, have a stuff of about 100 people and their turnover is planned to be of 18 millions € in 2008.
